Meet the 2024 Rho Gammas
Rho Gammas are Panhellenic members who temporarily "disaffiliate" from their chapter to provide a non-biased and non-discriminatory recruitment experience for every potential new member! Before the first day of recruitment, you will be assigned to a Rho Gamma along with a group of 10-20 other PNMs who will guide you through the recruitment process. Each Rho Gamma was selected through an intense application and selection process and is your go-to for any questions you may have along the way. Don't worry, we know recruitment sounds intense, but they were once in your shoes and can provide you any and all advice you might need!

Hi! My name’s Brooke and I’m from Orange County! I’m a third-year Economics-Communications major and cannot wait to dive into yet another fantastic school year! Something I especially love about Greek life is how spontaneous it is. One minute I’m relaxing in my room, the next I’m on my way to a dodgeball tournament for charity. There’s never a dull moment in the Greek community, and I am ever-grateful to be a part of it. Greek life has gifted me my best friends, my greatest life lessons, and most importantly, a home away from home. Cheers!

Hi! I’m Kya Gill, I’m going to be entering into my senior year. I’m majoring in Economics & Accounting and absolutely love it and the people that I’ve met through the program. I’m from Houston, Texas and plan on moving back when I graduate because what can I say I love my country music and variety of food options (and cmon Houston rodeo is like no other). Initially, when starting UCSB I wasn’t sure if I was going to join greek life, but my dad had said something that has stuck with me till this day, “it allows you to make a big university feel more approachable and smaller when coming onto the campus”. Through Greek life I’ve found my best friends and know that I will continue to stay friends with them no matter what path we all take. When initially joining Greek life crazy COVID pandemic era was still occurring and I was nervous I wasn’t going to meet anyone, but as soon as I walked into every event whether it be on zoom or in person I was able to meet amazing people that have continuing to have an impact on my life. Some fun facts about me is that both of my parents are British and so everyone gets confused when I have an American accent and that I like to take daily walks to Sands Beach for the most unmatched sunsets that one will ever get!

Hey! My name is Kalista and I’m a 4th year global studies and Poli sci double major from Riverside,CA! My favorite thing about Greek life is that it really feels like a community within a community. Even though everyone has their individual chapters, we always come together and are able to share a common experience by just being a part of Greek life at UCSB. Some things to know about me: I’m a Leo (across the board), I’m left-handed and my favorite fruit and scents are oranges because they remind me of home. I studied abroad in Argentina and Chile last year (so yes that makes up 75% of my personality). My favorite food is my mom’s mole poblano enchiladas and if I could recommend one food/drink place in IV to incoming UCSB freshmen, it would definitely be rogers tacos. Can’t wait to meet everybody!!

Hi! I’m Lane and I’m a third year sociology major from New York City. I love the way Greek Life makes community more accessible at a big school like UCSB and how creative all the Panhel Chapters are when it comes to planning fun and exciting events. Being from out of state allows me to not only have the best of both worlds, city vs smallish beach town, but also makes me keenly aware of how tough the transition to college can be! Some fun facts about me are that I am a former theater kid, I taught myself how to play guitar, and I dip my pizza in ranch dressing even though I’m a New Yorker.
