Chi Omega

Message from Chi Omega

Hi everyone!

My name is Alexis Anaya, and I have the honor of serving as Chapter President of Chi Omega at UCSB. Being part of this chapter, especially during such a defining time, has been one of the most meaningful parts of my college experience.

Chi Omega at UCSB is still growing, which makes it really special. Every member plays a role in shaping what this chapter looks like, our values, our friendships, and the kind of impact we want to have on campus. There’s something powerful about being part of something that’s still being built, where your voice matters and your presence makes a difference.

What I love most about Chi Omega is that there’s no one “type” of person here. Everyone comes from different backgrounds and brings something unique, and that’s exactly what makes our sisterhood so strong. It’s a space where you can be yourself, grow, and be surrounded by women who genuinely support you.

Chi Omega is guided by six purposes: Friendship, High Standards of Personnel, Sincere Learning and Creditable Scholarship, Participation in Campus Activities, Career Development, and Community Service. These values shape everything we do and continue to guide us as we grow as a chapter.

Our national philanthropy is Make-A-Wish®, and being able to support something that brings real impact to children and families is something that means a lot to our chapter. It’s one of the many ways we’re able to give back and be part of something bigger than ourselves.

Being president has pushed me to grow in ways I didn’t expect. It has taught me how to lead with intention, support others, and be part of building something meaningful alongside women who care deeply about this chapter.

If you’re learning more about Chi Omega, I hope you keep an open mind. There isn’t just one way to find your place here, and that’s what makes it so special. This chapter is what we make it, and every person has the ability to shape it.

We can’t wait to meet you!

With love and excitement,

Alexis Anaya
